Blue Jay Sewing Pattern
Byron the Blue Jay is the 8th pattern in our “Backyard Bird Collection”! We had received many suggestions over the past year or so to design a blue jay pattern. This was a bird that we were really excited to design, but also a little intimidated! They are beautiful birds and have such detailed feather patterns, that we wanted to make sure that we did it justice. And because of that, this ended up being one of our most intricate patterns yet. We had a lot of trial and error with the feather design, but in the end, I think it ended up as we had envisioned!
And while this blue jay does have a lot of pattern pieces, it actually is not as complicated to create as it may look. Our pattern fully explains how to place each feather, and we think that it should actually be rather easy to make. We hope that you will love how our blue jay turned out too!
